Only few days ago Xiaomi launched the first ever RedmiBook laptops in India, and it may soon launch the new Mi Notebooks too. Two of Xiaomi executives on Wednesday afternoon teased the upcoming laptop on their official Twitter handle. Mi India Marketing Lead Karthik MS shared a picture of a laptop with backlit keyboard, confirming that it will launch in India soon. A different image of the same product was also shared by Xiaomi’s Chief Business Officer Raghu Reddy.

None of these tweets revealed the name of the upcoming product or a possible timeline of its launch. The pictures only flaunted the backlit keyboard of the upcoming laptop. However, India Today Tech has learnt that this new machine will be part of the Mi Notebook series and may launch in India soon.

In fact, this could be the Mi Notebook Pro X 15 which was launched in China earlier this year. That’s because the Mi NoteBook Pro X15 is Xiaomi’s laptop with a full-sized backlit keyboard and a built-in ambient light sensor that allows the machine to automatically adjust the lighting of the keyboard as well as the display according to surroundings. Even if it is the same product, Xiaomi may launch it with a different name in India a strategy it has been following for a while.

In case this the laptop, then you should expect a 15.6-inch 3.5K Samsung E4 OLED display with a pixel density of 226 pixels per inch and a tall 16:10 aspect ratio. The machine should be powered by an 11th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, paired with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics and up to 32GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Along with this, Xiaomi may offer up to 1TB of SSD storage.

The laptop should come with a large 80Whr battery that is claimed to deliver up to 11.5 hours of video playback on a single charge. The laptop supports 130W fast charging and can charge 50 percent of the battery in just 25 minutes.

Since Xiaomi has introduced the RedmiBook line-up to target the more affordable consumers and the RedmiBook Pro is priced at Rs 49,999, it would be safe to assume that the new Mi NoteBook can be priced around Rs 60,000. Again, the company hasn’t suggested anything about the pricing yet. You should expect to hear more about that as we head closer to the launch.
